Prepped the motors by basically unwrapping it from the packaging, inspecting the outside for any damage and loading it into the case by threading it all the way in and loading it in the rocket. Did not disassemble or adjust it in any way. No delay adjustments were necessary, as I was using electronics. The motor was a Cesaroni Pro-38 H225 and had a manufacture date of 01 Sep 2015. It looked fine, and was purchased just two weeks before launch. The rockets was ignited and launched off the pad and flew to about 250' when it separated at the lower body tube/ebay point (as if our rear ejection charge had deployed) and huge flame came bursting from the lower body tube. It was pretty apparent the upper motor delay had failed and the motor was burning out of both ends.
