The motor failed immediately. The CATO occurred utilizing an Estes Jetliner rocket on an A10-3T engine. The engine has a code of A090412 on the engine casing and 122013 3T on the package. This was the first engine in a pack of 4 that I had opened. It appears the ejection end blew out as it immediately exploded on the launch pad and the nozzle is still intact. It destroyed the engine mount on the Estes Jetliner. It also broke the bottom part of the plastic piece that holds the blast deflector plate on my Porta-Pad II, though I don’t know if this was already weak to begin with.
