The motor seemed to function properly for the majority of the flight as the rocket ascended straight up. Near apogee, some flight fluctuation occurred. There was virtually no wind. I went to retrieve the rocket and noticed damage to my tail-cone retainer. There was a large hole. The failure occurred at the aft closure of the motor. The failure burned through the case, part of the stainless rear closure, the fiberglass motor tube, and the aluminum Aeropack tail-cone retainer.
The motor was used in the CTI Pro-54 3G case. No spacers were used.
