Ejection charge burned, cap was not retained, but not enough force was generated to deploy recovery system. The ejection charge well cap was not on the motor when it was removed from the rocket. I found it in the space between the chute protector and the motor mount front centering ring when I removed the recovery system. It was scorched on the charge side.
