On the Launchpad, the upper body tube of this one-stage rocket popped off. Shortly thereafter smoke began to billow out of the top of the lower body tube along with the parachute. With the rocket still on the Launchpad, flames appeared in the lowermost part of the rocket followed by the entire lower body tube being consumed in flames. The aluminum casing was torn apart on its aft end and the only remnant of the motor itself was the forward most (delay) part.
